Park Ridge COMMUNITY FUND |

The mission of the Park Ridge Community Fund is to assess the needs of the community, raise funds, and allocate those funds to charitable organizations and health causes, especially research, rehabilitation and education.

Park Ridge Community Fund has been working hard to improve the quality of life in our community since 1958. Volunteers, people who live or work in Park Ridge, control all aspects of the Park Ridge Community Fund, including fund raising, the assessment and determination of community needs, the distribution of funds and the monitoring of their use. Health issues have always been a very important part of the Park Ridge Community Fund. In addition to funding the local health related support groups, your dollars help fund research projects at Advocate Lutheran General and Resurrection Hospitals that affect our community. Two current projects are "Anesthesia Assisted Sedation Verses Conscious Sedation" for specific medical procedures and "Blood Toxicity Monitoring" for patients with mental illness and drug addictions. Other projects, such as breast cancer, therapy for stroke victims and children with asthma have been funded with successful results.
